Friends in Deed is an interfaith organization that provides supportive services to meet basic human needs, so our homeless and at-risk neighbors can rebuild their lives.

COMPASSION CONNECTION DIGNITY

Holiday Breakfast Bites

We are very excited to introduce a new volunteer opportunity and activity for your business, class, church group, family activity.

Holiday Breakfast Bites

Our Food Pantry serves hundreds of food insecure neighbors in the Pasadena area each week. Most of these friends are seniors or families with young children.  Help us serve up the spirit of the season this December by bringing breakfast snacks and beverage for our food pantry community on one December morning.

Here are our friends that have signed on already and the day they will be joining us:

Tues., Dec. 12 – Western Rooter & Plumbing
Wed., Dec. 13 – New York Life
Thurs., Dec. 14 – Jewish Federation
Tues., Dec. 19 – Lawry’s Restaurants, Inc.
Thurs., Dec. 21 – The Gooden School

We still have an open date available on December 20. To reserve one of these dates, please contact Pamela Marx at pamelamarx@sbcglobal.net

2018 Pasadena Homeless Count

The 2018 Pasadena Homeless Count will take place on Jan. 23 & 24, 2018. 140 volunteers are needed to help gather important and necessary information on our homeless brothers and sisters in the community. If you would like to volunteer for this important event, click HERE.

Our New Refrigeration Van

On Friday, October 20, our brand new refrigeration van arrived.  Getting this van is courtesy of The Ahmanson Foundation. Their generosity in providing us with the funds for the van will open many doors for us. Especially as it relates to transporting foods that need to be kept cold.  We can’t even begin to tell everyone how exciting this is for us.  Thank you, The Ahmanson Foundation, for your making this possible.

Friends In Deed PSA

Check out our newest PSA put together by our friends at Pasadena Media.  Rabbi Joshua Levine Grater talks about the homeless in our community and the programs we have here at Friends In Deed.
