Thank you so much for your interest in giving to Friends In Deed, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Whether big or small, your gift will be appreciated and transformed into life-changing programming for our neighbors in the Pasadena community. Through PayPal you can make a one-time donation, or, by clicking the “recurring gift” box, your gift can become a long-term monthly recurring donation. This will help us plan for our future with confidence.

We also accept food donations. Donations can be dropped off at Friends In Deed Tuesday through Friday, between 8:30 am-4:00 pm.  Our Food Pantry Director is also here on Saturdays, but it is best to make arrangements to drop off donations in advance.  Please call 626-797-6072.  When you bring your donations, a staff member or volunteer will be happy to help you unload your car.

Please make sure that foods are not expired or past their “Best By” date and are unopened.

Some of the foods that we consider our “Gold” items and are the most needed include Peanut Butter, Canned Tuna, Canned Chicken, Cereal, Rice, Cooking Oil, Sugar, and Flour.  Our Pantry community is made up of people from many different ethnic backgrounds, so feel free to get creative in the foods you wish to donate.  If you aren’t sure what to donate, we recommend that you donate foods that you like to eat.  Chances are someone else will like it too.

We have three industrial freezers and a couple of refrigerators, so if you are interested in donating fresh fruits & vegetables, meat & other proteins, dairy or other foods that may need refrigeration, we have the ability to store and keep those items.  The best time to donate these types of items would be on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday to ensure freshness and immediate distribution.  Please feel free to print out our “Needed Foods” PDF – Needed Foods

We also accept toiletries (shampoo & conditioner, soap, toothbrushes & toothpaste, deodorant, feminine products, shaving razors, etc.), pet food (dog & cat), and diapers & infant formula.

We do not accept furniture, toys, or other non-food items.  For questions regarding clothing donations, please contact Jane Armbruster, Norma’s Nook Manager, at

We thank you for helping us do together what we cannot do alone!
