Kahira is an Occupational Therapy student at the University of Southern California. She started her internship with Friends In Deed in January 2024, where she works alongside the Street Outreach and Housing team.

Before starting graduate school, Kahira worked as an after-school teacher for a middle school. She has experience working with diverse communities and enjoys cultivating an inclusive environment. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kalamazoo College.

Her favorite occupations include baking, hiking, and spending time with her dogs.
