Favio’s career has been shaped by a deep commitment to public service and the belief that systems can and should work better for the communities they serve. He understands firsthand the importance of prioritizing visibility, access, and equity in his work. This lived awareness has fueled a professional path dedicated to advancing opportunity for marginalized and historically excluded communities.
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with B.A. in Media Studies, Favio built his career at the intersection of communication, strategy, and impact. He has led complex projects, cultivated major philanthropic investments, and developed messaging that moves people from awareness to action. Throughout his work in nonprofit fundraising and health care advocacy, he has led with dignity, inclusion, and measurable outcomes. He is proud to center his advocacy in collaboration, accountability, and a deep respect for the communities served.
As Director of Development and Communications at Friends In Deed, Favio is honored to step into this role at a critical moment for the Pasadena community. He is committed to strengthening sustainable funding, expanding community partnerships, and ensuring that the organization’s mission remains visible, understood, and supported.
For him, development work is not simply about revenue. It is about building relationships that sustain safety, stability, and hope.
Outside of work, Favio finds joy in connection and creativity. He is an avid gamer, a lover of storytelling, and someone who values time with family and friends. He believes deeply in the chosen family, in resilience, and in the power of collective action to create meaningful change.
