She has previously worked with Union Station Homeless Services as a housing navigator in the Family Solution Center. She has extensive work experience working with group homes, special needs children, homeless families, and maternal infant health, and is currently a life coach for a transitional-aged youth program. She is spending a lot of her time volunteering in the community. Previously she has been a girl scout leader and a soccer coach, and has also sat on both the soccer and PTA boards. When not working and volunteering you can find Melissa out on the soccer field cheering on her daughter, walking her dog Klee, or at home with her pet bunny, Muffin. She enjoys going to festivals, live theater, exploring new places to eat and having a crafty day at home.
