Tim (Director of the Food Pantry) says:
“One of the great things about the work I do is getting to help young people learn about hunger, poverty, and what Friends In Deed does every day. Over the ten years I’ve been in charge of the Food Pantry program, I’ve had countless opportunities to speak with kids.
Most recently, I hosted a group of 4th and 5th graders, from Friends Western School, for a tour and talk. They asked many great, observant, and thoughtful questions about the Food Pantry and The Women’s Room. And the conversation wasn’t just me telling them about the programs. It was a wonderful dialogue between myself and the future.
Their teacher forwarded me some of the “thank you” letters they wrote and I share them with you.”
